September is here, which means the start of fall wedding season at MM Photo Co. Kentucky weather hadn’t quite gotten the memo for Austin and Sarah’s September wedding at Gardencourt a few weeks ago. Despite the summer temperatures lingering, this was a gorgeous wedding and I was so honored to be a part of it.
September Wedding at a Classic Louisville Venue
Gardencourt is the perfect backdrop for any wedding celebration. The classic architecture is grand and romantic, setting the tone for a memorable day. Austin and Sarah chose a color palette that was perfect for the last few weeks of summer. The bridesmaid’s wore light blue dresses paired with bouquets with a mix of blue, yellow, and purple florals. Austin and his groomsmen wore gray suits with matching light blue ties. Sarah’s dress was simple and romantic with flowy skirt and floral details on the bodice.
Sarah and Austin shared a first look in a private courtyard. Afterwards, they spent time taking photos around the grounds of Gardencourt with the bridal party. The anticipation for the ceremony grew as bride and groom captured a few photos with family members before the festivities began.
The ceremony took place overlooking the stone pillars. I’ve shot at this venue several times but this was the first time I’d seen a ceremony in this spot. I must say, I think it’s my new favorite! The pillars and cascading greenery created a romantic backdrop for the bride and groom to say I do. The ceremony was short and sweet, with readings from special family members and a sentimental hand ceremony. After exchanging vows and rings, Austin and Sarah made it official with a kiss. At last, they were finally announced husband and wife.
Now that they were officially married, it was time for the party! Sarah and Austin were toasted by family and friends and then shared their first married dance. After the father-daughter and mother-son dances, the newlyweds cut their cake. Once the dance floor opened, the celebration truly began. They danced the night away. As the night came to a close, guests lined up outside for Austin and Sarah’s grand exit.
