It’s officially September but it’s never too late to share some beautiful August weddings! Betsy and Scott sure know how to have fun. It was a blast capturing their Wildwood Country Club wedding in the last few weeks of summer. Yes, I know September is still technically summer but in my book it’s officially fall (even though it’s still 100 degrees in Kentucky!)
Beautiful August Wedding in Louisville Kentucky
Betsy and Scott’s wedding day featured some gorgeous Kentucky weather. After a gruelingly hot summer, they thankfully got a bit of relief for their celebration. The bride and groom started the day getting ready in separate locations with their wedding party members. Scott and his groomsmen sported classic navy tuxes and sage green ties. The bridesmaids wore matching sage green dresses with bouquets featuring white and pink florals. Betsy looked absolutely stunning in her lace gown with just a hint of sparkle.
We headed to Blackacre Nature Conservatory to take photos of the bridal party before the ceremony. Betsy and Scott shared a sweet first look and had a visit with some curious horses wanting to photo bomb the bridal party. The energy was high as time got closer and closer for them to tie the knot. Betsy did a first look with her dad and then it was time to travel to the church to get them married!
The ceremony took place at Middletown Christian Church. Scott watched on as his bride came through the sanctuary doors with her dad. The ceremony was classic and heartfelt, featuring a few readings from special people. After the exchanging of vows and rings, Betsy and Scott shared their first married kiss and were announced husband and wife!
After all the official stuff was over, it was time to party! Wildwood Country Club was the perfect backdrop for the rest of their celebration. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour before the bridal party was announced into the reception. After a delicious dinner, Betsy and Scott cut their cake and shared their first dance as husband and wife. Jeff at Apex Music kept the dance floor full to the brim all night long. This crowd knew how to have a good time!
