Wedding Season is Here!

Let the wedding photography begin! And with this Saturday’s wedding, it’s officially wedding season for MM Photo Co! I am SO excited to be back in the swing of things. These last few months of slow season have been so restful and full of a must needed reset to prepare for another year of weddings. We have over 20 booked for 2024 with a few dates still available for last minute fall bookings. Grateful for my amazing clients that trust me with their wedding photographer. Excited to share wedding number one with you!

Windy Wedding Photography at Woodhaven

We started this wedding season at Woodhaven Country Club. This was my first time shooting wedding photography at this venue and I have to say, it is a hidden gem in the West Buechel part of Louisville, Kentucky. With low ceilings and crystal chandeliers, there is moody, romantic lighting throughout the space – perfect for a ceremony and reception! It sits on a golf course so there are lots of options for outdoor portraits. Even though it was early March and the trees haven’t quite bloomed yet – we still got some green in our outdoor portraits because of the course. The weather wasn’t ideal for wedding day being cold and windy with misty rain throughout the day. But I was grateful the sun popped out mid-afternoon to allow us to still capture some photos outside!

A Day of Family Filled Festivities

Our bride and groom for the day were Brittany and Michael. I met these two at a bridal show last summer. I typically don’t remember meeting couples during the actual show because I meet so many people in a matter of hours. But I do remember Brittany + Michael because they had 4 kiddos in tow while exploring all of the wedding vendor booths.

I have a special place in my heart for weddings days centered around family. Michael and Brittany have such a sweet family with 4 beautiful daughters, all of which wore matching pink dresses and had a special part of the wedding day. The ceremony was short, sweet, and to the point (my favorite kind of ceremony!) and the reception was laid back, filled with so many sweet moments. A highlight of the day was Brittany’s gift to Michael – a custom first dance song that captured their love story beautifully.

Congratulations to the Newlyweds!

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Miller! I am so happy to have been a part of the wedding day of Michael and Brittany. Their wedding was filled with love from their family and friends, with lots of tear filled moments throughout the day. Their love for each other is so evident, as is their love for their daughters. This was not just a union of a couple but truly a celebration of this family. I wish the entire Miller family lots of happiness as they embark on this new chapter in their story.
