Another Saturday, another beautiful wedding that I had the pleasure of capturing. Our busy month of May weddings has almost come to a close. I can’t believe summer is almost here. Logan and Rachel’s spring wedding at The Gillespie in downtown Louisville was full of joy and happy tears! Keep reading to hear more about their day and see some of my favorite sneak peek photos.
Logan and Rachel Celebrate in Spring
If you’re living in Louisville, you know the past few weeks have been very wet! Preparing for Logan and Rachel’s wedding day, I so worried that we would get washed away in the spring showers. Luckily, both their ceremony and reception venues were mostly inside. Even more lucky, the rain held off for the entirety of their day and the sun even made an appearance.
Logan and Rachel’s ceremony took place at The Chapel in the Woods. The first time they saw each other was when Rachel walked down the aisle so the morning began with bride and groom getting ready separately. Rachel was a classic beauty in a satin gown with floral details. Logan was dashing in a classic black tux with a bowtie.
One of Rachel’s brother’s was the officiant for the ceremony, giving the nuptials a personal touch. Both bride and groom shed tears as Rachel walked down the aisle. The couple shared communion before exchanging vows and rings. After all the formalities, they sealed the deal with a kiss and were officially announced husband and wife.
The reception took place at The Gillespie in downtown Louisville. The energy at the celebration was infectious, Rachel and Logan are so loved. Dinner was served and afterwards, the couple was toasted by the maid of honor and best man. Next, the newlyweds shared their first dance followed by special dances with their parents. Once the dance floor was open, the party really began!
As the night came to a close, the guests lined up outside to send off the newlyweds. Surrounded by their family and friends, Rachel and Logan were sent off with sparklers into the rest of their lives together.
