Beautiful Summer Barn Wedding in Oldham County, Kentucky

Haley and Kendahl get the pleasure of being my first wedding on the brand new blog! How special it was to celebrate with them this weekend with their summer wedding! They tied the not at The Barn at Twin Lakes in Smithfield, Kentucky. Their day was absolutely beautiful and full of lots of Kentucky charm.

I started my day taking shots of Haley’s gorgeous dress. Once Haley and her girls arrived, I captured some getting ready photos and snapped shots of all the little details throughout the space. Each table was personalized with one of their engagement photos and some rustic decor that matched their color scheme. The bride and groom chose not to do a first look so we did some bridal party photos separately, while keeping Haley hidden away! Haley did choose to do a first look with her dad and it was such a sweet moment.

It was HOT, like most summer weddings in Kentucky. Thankfully this family had fans and water bottles awaiting their guests at the ceremony. The ceremony was sweet and simple – nothing over the top, but you could feel the love. Kendahl and Haley have a little 10 month old baby boy named Hudston. He was escorted down the aisle in a wagon with a sign that said “Daddy, it’s time to give Mommy our last name.” How cute is that? Hudson being a part of their big day was a highlight – he even joined their first dance!

The party began commenced with the help of the the Tap Tavern Truck, which was a big hit with guests! There was some amazing food – dinner catered by Gustavo’s Mexican Grill and desserts by Sweet Moments by Mary. The mother of the bride told me that she practically tasted every cupcake in Louisville before she found the delicious treats by Mary! I haven’t tried all the cupcakes in Louisville but I’ve lots of wedding desserts and these were definitely at the top of my list!
