And with that, September is over and we move in to October wedding season! Scott and Angie’s Ashford Acres Wedding was an incredible way to conclude September. Despite Hurricane Helene making it’s way through Kentucky on their wedding weekend leaving us with some unpredictable weather, Scott and Angie’s day at Ashford Acres was beyond beautiful.
Ashford Acres, Cynthiana’s Premiere Wedding Venue
Scott and Angie tied the knot at Ashford Acres in Cynthiana, Kentucky. Ashford Acres is classic, Kentucky elegance and I was so excited to be back here after six years! With the historic inn, beautiful grounds, and a white reception barn, the venue provided a perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day celebrating the bride and groom.
Because of the weather, we moved the ceremony under the veranda attached to the reception barn. Even though the plans were changed, the new ceremony space has a beautiful view of rolling Kentucky hills and provided protection from the rain. The ceremony was short and sweet, with special touches including family members and friends. Scott and Angie sealed the deal with a kiss and processed while guests waved ribbons.
Miraculously the rain let up for exactly the hour that we had scheduled for photos, allowing us to get some gorgeous photos outside with the historic inn as a backdrop. After capturing sweet moments with family, it was time for the reception! The bridal party had such a fun entrance, preparing the crowd for the introduction of the bride and groom!
This family knew how to have fun! The dance floor was full and lively the entire night. Scott and Angie are so loved and that was very evident in the joy that radiated from the entire day. We ended the night with a quick sparkler photo op and went straight back to the dance floor to really get the party started!

As a now Louisville-based Wedding Photographer, I’m always excited to return to some of my favorite venues in Central Kentucky and Ashford Acres is definitely one of them.
