General Butler State Park | Carrollton, KY | June 8, 2024
Another June wedding is behind us and I am so excited to share about Tony and Laura’s General Butler State Park wedding! Laura and Tony have ties in lots of locations around the country so they had a lot of options on where to have their celebration. However, they chose to get married in both Kentucky and Indiana! They had their ceremony at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Madison, Indiana and celebrated the reception at General Butler State Park just a short drive away. It was a beautiful day all around with love radiating from everyone in involved!
The day started slowly, the bridal party getting ready in quaint little cabins on the state park property. It was a GORGEOUS early summer day, perfect wedding weather. Laura and Tony are truly the sweetest couple and chose the most supportive and cheerful people to stand beside them on their wedding day. It was a joy to hang out with them as they prepared for the big celebration!
Time to Tie the Knot
After everyone was wedding ready, the caravan made the short drive over state lines to Madison, Indiana for the ceremony. Prince of Peace Catholic Church is a beautiful backdrop for a wedding celebration. A close friend of both the bride and groom performed the homily, sharing background about the couple for a personal touch. To sum it up, they shared their first married kiss and were officially announced as husband and wife!
General Butler State Park has an incredible overlook area that served as our location for some beautiful portraits! After we took photos, it was finally time to party! The reception was held at the Convention Center on the park grounds. With 270 guests, the energy was electric as Tony and Laura made their entrance!
After dinner, the best man and maid of honor made beautiful toasts. Then, the bride and groom cut the wedding cake and hit the dance floor for their first dance. After the formalities were checked off the list, the dance floor was full for the rest of the evening! Everyone was ready to celebrate Mr. and Mrs.Renzaglia!
