The Refinery | Jeffersonville, Indiana | May 25, 2024
MM Photo Co. kicked off a crazy Memorial Day weekend celebrating Katie + CJ! I was happy to be back at The Refinery in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The Refinery provides a perfect backdrop for weddings with exposed brick walls and lots of natural light. Time and time again, one of my favorite venues to shoot!
The day began with Katie and her bridesmaids getting ready. Laughter and excitement filled the air as the bridal party donned their matching PJs sipped on mimosas. Katie looked breathtaking in her satin gown with a dramatic overskirt that made her a picture perfect bride.
The ceremony was held on the north side of The Refinery surrounded by family and friends. We were a bit worried that Katie’s dress wouldn’t fit down the narrow aisle but she made it down to her groom without an issue. Friends and family watched with joy as Katie and CJ exchanged rings, symbolizing their unending commitment to one another and lit their unity candle. Katie and CJ both wrote personal vows, telling their love story from elementary school friends to high school sweethearts to husband and wife (after 11 years of dating!)
We moved over to the south side of the venue for the best part of every wedding day – the party! The reception was a lively celebration filled with love, laughter, and dancing. The couple shared their first dance and Katie shared a heartfelt dance with her father and sister. We snuck away to take a few sunset photos and the real party began on the dance floor.
Katie and CJ’s wedding at The Refinery was such a fun time. After 11 years together, this couple is finally husband and wife. The couple’s genuine love for each other and the support from their friends and family made it an unforgettable day. Congratulations to Katie and CJ on their beautiful wedding and the continuation of a lifetime of happiness!
