Let me tell you – I love fall in Kentucky. Despite the weather not quite feeling like fall, this wedding had all the fall colors and I’m a big fan. Keep scrolling to see some highlights from this fall Kentucky wedding!
A perfect fall boho wedding in Kentucky
For my first (of three) September wedding of 2023, I captured the wedding day of Blake and Maggie! They tied the knot in the groom’s family backyard in Winchester, Kentucky. Not only is this couple seriously gorgeous together, they also know how to have tons of fun!
The day started with the girls dancing to music while getting their hair and make-up done. The guys played Spikeball and watched college football. An easy and fun start to the day that led into their intimate first look with private vows. And then we took all of our bridal party photos. We even had time to relax and make Tik Toks before the ceremony officially started!
Time to Get Married!
The ceremony was truly gorgeous with a perfect fall, bohemian arch overlooking rolling Kentucky hills. Lots of jokes and laughs and then Blake and Maggie sealed it with a kiss. We snuck away for a few “just married” portraits and sent the newlyweds into their cocktail hour to enjoy time with their guests.
We got hit with some perfectly timed fall rain as we all moved into the tent for some barbecue. This is when the party really got started! The maid of honor made a super fun shot wall featuring the bride’s favorite: Fireball shots!
The reception continued with dances and toasts – lots of kind words, inside jokes, and celebratory shots. But then the dance floor opened and this group knows sure how to have fun. After a long day, I was happy to head home but I am confident that Blake and Maggie’s party lasted for many hours after I departed!
