I can’t believe May is almost over. Spring wedding season is flying by! Emma and Luke’s wedding day was a dream. Despite a questionable forecast, their nuptials were perfect and stayed mostly dry until the end! It was such an honor to be a part of their Spring Wedding at Muir Chapel.
High School Sweethearts Tie the Knot
Emma and Luke’s wedding day was a long time in the making. As high school sweethearts, these two grew up together. And it was finally time for them to make it officially with a spring wedding.
This wedding day brought me to a new venue. I love getting to explore a new space and Muir Chapel did not disappoint. Nestled in the woods east of Jefferson County, Muir Chapel is quaint and charming. The chapel itself allows for intimate ceremonies, with the timeless look of wood paneling and stained glass. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, the reception space is outdoors but fully covered giving lots of flexibility with sometimes unpredictable spring weather.
The day began with the bride and groom getting ready with their closest friends and family. Emma’s gown was tulle with sparkles and lace detailing. The light blue bridesmaid’s dresses coupled with colorful spring florals made for a perfect spring wedding palette. Luke and his groomsmen wore navy and cleaned up very nicely.
After some photos, Emma and Luke prepared for the ceremony. Their first time seeing each other was when Emma walked down the aisle. The guests and the groom all shed some tears. They wrote personal vows that led the crowd to applause. They sealed the deal with rings and a kiss. Finally, they were announced as husband and wife!
The rain held off for most of the day but some sprinkles emerged right as Emma and Luke shared their first dance. After dinner, the newlyweds were toasted by their best man and maid of honor. After all the formalities, the dance floor filled and the party really began. This group did not disappoint and showed off some impressive dance moves!
