Cody and Bekah’s summer wedding at Passalino’s in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, was nothing short of timeless. As a Louisville wedding photographer, I love photographing weddings in historic venues with character. Passalino’s delivers on every level. From the beautiful natural light to the elegant architectural details, it was the perfect setting for a romantic and joyful celebration.
A Colorful Summer Wedding at Passalino’s
The day began in the bridal suite upstairs, where Bekah got ready with her bridal party. The energy was buzzing with joy as Bekah added the finishing touches to her elegant bridal look. Meanwhile, Cody and his groomsmen prepped nearby, the anticipation building for their emotional first look.
One of my favorite parts of photographing weddings at Passalino’s is how photogenic the entire space is. On a hot summer day, being able to capture beautiful photos indoors is a game changer. The vintage charm, elegant marble columns, and expansive ballroom with its skylight make every angle feel cinematic.
The ceremony space was beautiful decorated with vibrant floral décor in rich oranges and corals with lush greenery. Bathed in natural light and surrounded by family and friends, Bekah and Cody exchanged heartfelt vows. They shared their first kiss as husband and wife and then it was time for the party to start!
Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the mezzanine while the ceremony space below was transformed for the reception. The reception kicked off very heartfelt with some unforgettable speeches from bridal party and family. After Cody and Bekah cut their cake and shared their first dance, the dance floor was open! Every moment was full of joy and celebration.
During golden hour and after a quick outfit change from the bride, we stepped outside into downtown Louisville for a few sunset portraits. With access to a parking garage adjacent to the venue, we were able to get some fun shots before I left for the evening. These quiet moments together were some of the most intimate and authentic to capture.
