Another Monday, another wedding blog! Devin and Cassidy are officially married (and they chose the hottest weekend of the year!) Despite all the sweaty moments, their wedding day was so special to be a part of and I’m so excited to share some sneak peek images of their gorgeous June wedding at The Barn at Twin Lakes.
The Venue: Rustic Elegance at Its Finest
The Barn at Twin Lakes offers rustic charm, making it an ideal location for a classic Kentucky wedding. Nestled in the rolling hills of Smithfield, Kentucky, the venue is surrounded by lush greenery and serene lakes, creating a breathtaking backdrop for a summer wedding! Cassidy and Devin chose a blue color scheme that truly makes all of their images feel like a dream.
The Ceremony: Love in Bloom
The ceremony took place outdoors, overlooking one of the lakes on the property. Cassidy looked gorgeous in an ivory gown with floral accents. Her white cowboy boots were the cherry on top of her bridal look. Devin wore a light blue suit, a unique touch to this summer wedding. As they exchanged vows under a wooden arbor adorned with flowers, the love and joy between them were palpable.
As the ceremony began, both Devin and Cassidy’s father read special messages to the bride and groom. Afterwards, Devin and Cassidy took part in a unity ceremony with sand, creating a keepsake hourglass for their home. The bride and groom shared their first married kiss! Finally, Devin and Cassidy symbolically jumped over the broom and walked off together as husband and wife!
The Reception: Celebrating Love and Laughter
Following the ceremony, the celebration moved inside the barn. The interior of The Barn at Twin Lakes is a beautiful blend of wood and fairy lights, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Guests say at tables were adorned with simple yet elegant floral arrangements. The rustic decor was enhanced with personal touches that reflected Cassidy and Devin’s journey together.
The evening was filled with yummy food, laughter, and dancing. The newlyweds shared their first dance under twinkling lights. The maid of honor and best man gave heartfelt toasts following the cutting of the wedding cake.
A Memorable Farewell
The rolling hills of The Barn at Twin Lakes always allows for a glorious sunset. We snuck off to take a few sunset photos of the bride and groom. As the night drew to a close, Cassidy and Devin bid farewell to their guests with a bubble send off. This magical moment was the perfect end to a perfect day.
