Holly and Gage’s wedding at The Sanctuary in Lexington, Kentucky was an elegant blend of modern design and heartfelt moments. This stunning venue offered the perfect setting for their fall celebration – intimate, timeless, and full of joy.
Let me brag on this venue a little bit. The Sanctuary is thoughtfully designed allowing couples to truly slow down and savor the experience. Its glass-roofed atrium floods the space with natural light, creating the perfect atmosphere for both ceremonies and receptions. The venue also features a spacious lounge area for guests to relax and mingle, along with a two-bedroom suite where the wedding party can stay on site for the weekend. It was truly such a unique venue nestled in the heart of Lexington and I was so excited to capture Holly and Gage’s celebration here.
A Fall Wedding Celebrating Chosen Family
The day began with laughter and excitement as Holly got ready with her bridesmaids in the suite upstairs. Holly was a vision in her satin ball gown. Gage, in a classic black tux, shared moments of anticipation with his groomsmen before meeting his bride for an emotional first look beneath the glass ceiling of the atrium.
After everyone was dressed to the nines, we headed to Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate for wedding party photos. The formal garden was truly the perfect backdrop to capture their bride and groom portraits. Y’all, these two are just so photogenic! The fall weather was the icing on top of an already beautiful day!
Their ceremony was filled with emotion as family and friends supported their union. Holly and Gage believe strongly in the concept of chosen family. That was so evident in how their wedding was planned. Every moment was intentional and intimate to celebrate all of the people they have chosen to do life with.
Afterward, the space transformed for the reception. Candles flickered, laughter echoed, and the dance floor stayed full all night, per specific request of the groom! Every moment of Holly and Gage’s wedding reflected love and pure happiness. This Sanctuary in Lexington wedding was a joy to be a part of – keep scrolling to see some of my favorite photos from their day!
A week into wedded bliss, I’m sending these newlyweds lots of love! I am overjoyed to have witnessed this couple tie the knot and to see the strong foundation and support system they have built moving into this new chapter together. Congratulations to the The Abells!
