Fall wedding season is here (although it doesn’t quite feel like fall here in the midwest!) We started off September wedding season with Emily and Joe’s wedding at The Gables at Twin Lakes in Derby, Indiana. Emily and Joe have been together since they were practically kids, having met at a dance class! This wedding day was long awaited and could not have been more perfect. From their first touch to their choreographed first dance, their wedding reflected the love surrounding these childhood sweethearts.
As a photographer, I love when couples choose unique venues, and this location truly stood out. Nestled in southern Indiana, Twin Lakes Country Cabins provided a stunning backdrop for their celebration. The rustic charm of The Gables paired with the serene lake views gave us endless opportunities for romantic portraits. Transitioning from the ceremony to the reception, the scenery shifted beautifully, offering fresh perspectives at every turn.
Emily wore a classic gown that flowed effortlessly as she walked down the aisle. Joe’s expression as he saw her for the first time was unforgettable, a mix of awe and pure happiness. Their vows were heartfelt, and the intimate setting in the trees made every guest feel part of the moment.
