Our first wedding of October 2024 was a special one, y’all! Brian and Andrea are such a special couple and I am so glad that I got to be the one to capture their gorgeous wedding at The Gillespie in Louisville, Kentucky. A Special Date for High School Sweethearts
Brian and Andrea met their senior year of high school. They went on their first official date as boyfriend and girlfriend to the homecoming dance on October 4, 2016. 8 years later, they got married on the same day. Over the past 8 years together, these two have accomplished some amazing in their respective career fields (neither of which I completely understand). And now, they get to continue to accomplish amazing things together as a married couple.
The Gillespie is an incredible backdrop for a wedding in Louisville, Kentucky. The grand ballroom of this historic venue is absolutely stunning and throughout the building there were so many picturesque little spots that we took advantage of. Nestled in the middle of downtown Louisville, we also had access to downtown streets for some beautiful portraits of the newlyweds.
Brian and Andrea are so loved and supportive by their family and friends and that was so evident this weekend. It was an absolute joy to be a part of it. They had a mutual friend officiate the ceremony, which gave it the perfect personal touch. The toasts from the maids of honor, best man, and father of the bride were heartfelt and funny. And the anniversary dance, celebrating a couple that’s been married for 56 years was so heartwarming.
