Brandon + Liz

Weddings

Gheens Foundation Lodge | Louisville, Kentucky | April 20, 2024

As an avid reader, Brandon and Liz’s love story is special for me because it sounds like it could come directly out of a romance novel! After a little meet-cute at a work event, Liz and her boss set up a fake follow-up meeting so she had an excuse to see Brandon again. A bit oblivious, Brandon figured out halfway through the meeting that this might be a date. Fast forward a few years and they are MARRIED!

Naturally, I go to a lot of weddings but there are just some couples that tug on my heartstrings a little extra. Liz and Brandon are one of those couples for me. These two are so kind and genuine and their love for each other radiates when they interact with each other. It is truly one of my greatest honors to have been invited into their love story. Their wedding day was pretty close to perfect and I’m so excited to share it here.

A Perfect Spring Wedding in Louisville, Kentucky

Despite a questionable forecast the week leading up to their wedding day, Brandon and Liz has perfect spring weather for their celebration. They tied the knot at the beautiful Gheens Foundation Lodge in Beckley Creek Park. The spring leaves came out just in time to compliment their classic color palette of natural greens and ivory with gold accents.

Liz and Brandon opted for a heartfelt first touch. This allowed them to take a private moment to read written vows and spend a moment together while still keeping the first look for walking down the aisle. Not going to lie, this sweet moment of the day had me a little teary eyed. This couple is just so dang cute.

Their ceremony was outdoors on the lawn and it could not have been more beautiful. With Brandon’s best man also acting as the officiant, the ceremony had beautiful personal touches and a scripture driven message. The couple shared communion together as a sweet act of devotion to their faith and sealed the deal with a kiss.

A Night to Remember for the Lambs

The celebrating really took off after they tied the knot. After stealing the couple for some gorgeous photos in Beckley Creek Park, they entered their reception and shared their first dance. Heartfelt toasts, cake cutting, and special dances with their parents finished the formalities of the evening and then the dance floor opened.

This crowd definitely knew how to have a good time as the dance floor was NEVER empty. This makes my job as a photographer so much more fun, challenging myself not to miss a memorable moment of the dancing. After hours of celebration, Brandon and Liz shared a private last dance before their grand exit through a tunnel of their closest friends and family yielding sparklers. They drove off in a convertible after a very memorable evening.

My sincerest congratulations to the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Lamb! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your day! I am so grateful to have been a part of it and am so thrilled to share these sneak peek images!
